How To Research For Niche Markets?

The way to start off researching for niche markets is to identify at first the broad keyword that you intend to get involved in. For example, since Christmas is coming and I'd like to find some niches relating to Christmas gifts, I would select the keyword Christmas gifts.

I would then find a basket of keywords relating to this keyword and to analyse them for supply and demand. Supply will be the number of websites offerring pages relating to the keywords and demand are the number of searches for the keyword.
